Many EARLYJAS members, past and present, have fond
memories of The Rusty Nail restaurant.  For 45+ years the Nail
sponsored Dixieland bands at least once per month.  The longest
run was by the Earlville Jazz Band, a 7 piece group that had a
marvelous repertoire of songs and had a strong following of fans.
Then the Minstrels of Earlville, a smaller group, had a long run of
15 years or so before the restaurant closed a couple of years ago
The Black Iron Grille now occupies the old Rusty Nail facility.
The new owners are trying to revive the music and has invited the
Minstrels of Earlville to play on
Sunday afternoon October 15
rom 200 - 430pm.  If there is a decent crowd for the event perhaps
it might become a regular gig.   No cover, no minimum.  Check it
out and let the restaurant know you are interested by calling (330)
